The Institute of Solomon Islands Accountants (ISIA) acknowledges the Government of Australia for its continued commitment to strengthening public sector capability and human resource development in Solomon Islands.
Speaking at the ISIA Annual Congress 2026, Deputy Australian High Commissioner to Solomon Islands, Mr. Andrew Schloeffel, announced that Australia is working with the Ministry of Finance and Treasury to develop a new professional certification programme in Public Sector Procurement.
The programme is being designed by the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) in partnership with the Solomon Islands Government and draws on international best practice.
Mr. Schloeffel highlighted that the initiative is not only about providing knowledge, but also ensuring public officials are confident in applying that knowledge in practice.
The programme will provide professional pathways for accountants, strengthen public sector capability and contribute to the development of world-class public sector professionals in Solomon Islands.
ISIA acknowledges and appreciates Australia's continued investment in the human resource development of Solomon Islanders.
