Services provided by ISIA

The Institute of Solomon Islands Accountants (ISIA), based in Honiara, Solomon Islands, provides membership administration, professional-registration services, events and training, information resources and online learning where offered. The description, eligibility requirements, price in SBD and any important service conditions are shown with the relevant service or invoice before payment.

How services are delivered and any delivery cost

Application updates, invoices, receipts and access information are generally provided through your ISIA account or the email address supplied. Events take place at the venue or online location stated in the event details. Online learning is accessed through the designated ISIA learning area.

No separate delivery charge applies to ordinary electronic account access or email delivery. Physical printing, collection, postage or courier delivery is not included unless expressly arranged. We will disclose any such charge and expected delivery arrangements before you agree to it. Your own internet, device, travel and accommodation costs are not included unless a service description expressly says otherwise.

Payments, confirmations and receipts

Use only the payment methods currently shown by ISIA. Keep your invoice and transaction reference. Submission of a form, an unverified payment screenshot or a return from a bank page does not alone establish that payment has cleared or a service has been approved. We verify and reconcile payments before recording the relevant entitlement or receipt.

For payments requiring manual reconciliation, our proposed target is to review complete payment information within two Solomon Islands business days. A verified payment is recorded against the relevant invoice and a receipt is made available or supplied by the Secretariat. Contact us if confirmation is missing or the recorded amount is incorrect. Do not repeat a payment just because a browser or email confirmation was interrupted.

Membership and registration applications

Receipt of an application and payment is distinct from approval. We may need complete documents, verification, clarification or a decision by the relevant authorised body. We will advise you of missing information and communicate the outcome through the available account or contact channels.

Our proposed target is to give an initial completeness check or progress update within ten business days of receiving a complete application. This is not a guaranteed admission or registration decision date. Decision timing may depend on the nature of the application and the relevant committee process. Membership, registrations and engagements take effect only as stated in the approved record; payment does not authorise practice before approval.

Events and training

Each event identifies its date, time, venue or online format, available booking options and any prerequisites. Follow the booking instructions, including an email-confirmation step if one is requested. A place is subject to the event's capacity, confirmation and payment conditions. Do not treat an uncompleted registration as a confirmed place.

We send or display joining information through the event or booking channels. If you have no confirmation or joining information by the next business day after completing the required steps, or the event is sooner, contact the Secretariat promptly. We will communicate material changes and explain your options under the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Online learning and certificates

Where a course is offered, its description states the content, availability, access period, prerequisites and any assessment or completion requirements. Access depends on the applicable enrolment, payment and eligibility conditions. Our proposed target is to resolve access activation within two business days after all requirements are satisfied, unless a later course start date was disclosed.

A learning certificate depends on the course's completion requirements. It does not by itself grant ISIA membership, professional registration or a practising licence. Please keep account details accurate and contact us about access or certificate errors.

Delays, technical requirements and help

You need a suitable device, a supported current browser, a working email address and internet access for online services. Check that the stated format works for you before purchase. Keep your email address current and check spam folders, but do not send sensitive documents to an unverified address.

If we cannot deliver the service as described, we will explain the issue and available options, including an appropriate remedy under our refund policy and applicable law. Planned maintenance, connectivity problems or a delayed email do not remove your rights. Contact secretariat@isia.org.sb or +677 20131. Membership enquiries can also go to membership@isia.org.sb.

Business days exclude weekends and Solomon Islands public holidays. Unless stated otherwise, service dates and times are Solomon Islands time (UTC+11). The proposed targets in this draft are operational commitments for ISIA to review, not legal deadlines.
