Scope and applicable requirements
The Institute of Solomon Islands Accountants (ISIA) operates from Solomon Islands. This notice explains important restrictions on the services and materials offered through isia.org.sb. Our professional functions are governed by the Accountants Act 2010 and applicable rules. Website access and payment do not replace a statutory requirement, a professional eligibility assessment or a decision by an authorised body.
Membership and professional practice
Membership, professional registration and permission for a particular engagement are different matters. You must meet the conditions applicable to the category or service you request and provide accurate supporting information. A paid invoice, event attendance or learning certificate does not itself authorise you to practise accountancy, act as an auditor or liquidator, or use a protected professional status.
Non-resident applicants must use the applicable registration and engagement process. Approval for one category, engagement or period must not be treated as unrestricted approval for all work or periods. Check the terms of the issued approval and the relevant official requirements. Our website does not issue immigration, employment or other permissions that must be obtained from another authority.
Overseas access and payment restrictions
Access from another country does not guarantee eligibility for every ISIA service or acceptance of every payment method. Services may depend on professional qualifications, residency or engagement requirements, availability, and applicable law. A bank or payment provider may decline a transaction under its own controls.
We will not knowingly provide a service or process a transaction prohibited by applicable law or a binding restriction affecting that transaction. If a restriction prevents supply after payment, contact us so the payment and any remedy can be resolved appropriately. No blanket claim is made that all countries, applicants or payment instruments are accepted.
Digital services and physical exports
The standard website offering consists of professional administration, events, information and digital learning where available. Physical export or international shipping is not included unless expressly arranged. If a physical item or other export-controlled service is proposed, the applicable destination, delivery and legal conditions must be confirmed before an order is accepted. Contact the Secretariat if you are unsure whether a service can be supplied to you.
Use of learning materials and website content
Use content only within the access and permissions provided for the relevant service. Do not redistribute or sell paid course material, share an account to evade enrolment conditions, remove ownership notices, or represent another person's work or certificate as your own. Permissions, licences and any applicable legal exceptions remain relevant. Ask ISIA before reusing material where the permission is unclear.
Respect the privacy and confidentiality of others. Do not upload material you have no right to share, including confidential client records or another person's identity documents without authority. Do not submit false applications, impersonate another person, interfere with assessments, attempt unauthorised access or disrupt the website.
Information, qualifications and remedies
General website content and training do not replace advice tailored to a particular legal, tax, accounting or business matter. A course's scope and any claimed recognition should be checked in its description; completing a course does not imply recognition by every employer, regulator or professional body.
We may limit access where reasonably necessary to enforce service conditions, investigate misuse or meet a legal requirement. We will explain the issue and available review process where appropriate. A restriction does not automatically forfeit a payment or remove a consumer remedy, complaint right or statutory appeal. Refunds and service failures are considered under the Refund and Cancellation Policy and applicable law.
